Jochberg & ski area

The village

Peace, space and real mountains

Jochberg lies just across the border from the Salzburgerland, in a valley between wooded mountains. The village is long and stretched out and has no real centre: farmhouses and chalets are scattered along the road from Kitzbühel to Pass Thurn, with the baroque village church as its landmark.

If you want big hotels and busy nightlife, Kitzbühel is the better choice. If you come for the mountains themselves, you’ll find exactly what you’re looking for here: peace, space and a relaxed, authentically Austrian atmosphere. Still fancy an evening of après-ski? Kitzbühel and Kirchberg are close by.

Winter

Skiing in KitzSki

Jochberg is part of KitzSki, the ski area of Kitzbühel, Kirchberg, Jochberg and the Resterhöhe near Pass Thurn. Together they offer around 196 kilometres of slopes, from the world-famous Hahnenkamm to Pass Thurn. A modern 3S cable car links Jochberg directly to the slopes of Kitzbühel and Kirchberg.

So you can go on a ski safari all day: take the bus to Kitzbühel and ski back via lifts and runs to Jochberg and on to Pass Thurn.
